The next big (stupid) thing with kids is vodka in the eyes. That's right kids, already drunk, are then putting vodka in their eyes to get drunker. It apparently hits the system faster and is becoming a popular fad. Ophthalmologists are saying it is dangerous because the alcohol content is enough to damage the cornea and cause scaring. Darwin must be pleased to be proved correct once again.

We mentioned this on Twitter last week, but these dudes deserve a whole item. FreeCreditReport.com (now called FreeCreditScore.com) is officially retiring the FreeCreditReport band, who sang those mind-bendingly catchy jingles in ads from The Martin Agency. Truly, it's the end of an era. In remembrance of their schlocky awesomeness, check out the video below, featuring NINE of their songs. FreeCreditScore is now starting a nationwide search for a new band, and is accepting video applications. Head to the site or to YouTube to view the submissions. There seem to be only two so far, including one posted after the jump. Voting starts June 7. Remember, if you don't vote, you don't get to complain. And you're probably going to want to complain.

This is a little demonstration of the dark arts in the form of an optical illusion. Or, as I like to call them, devil eye tricks.

This simple yet confounding model was named the Illusion of the Year by the Meiji Institute for Advanced Study of Mathematical Sciences, Japan.


This kind of optical illusion, which I named 'Impossible Motion', was discovered in my engineering research for machine interpretation of line drawings. In order to check the behavior of my software, I gave what are called 'pictures of impossible objects' as the input expecting the software to judge them impossible. However, my software sometimes interprets 'pictures of impossible objects' as actual solids, from which I found that some of 'pictures of impossible objects' are not impossible; they can be constructed although general angles are used where they look rectangular.

Well, what did you think? Pretty neat, huh? I thought so. Of course, I could tell exactly what was going from the very beginning. Bruce Willis' character was already dead!

Hey everyone! If anyone still reads this. I haven't blogged in FOREVER! To be perfectly honest, I forgot about it. Haha. I had to pretty much re-create my account. Awesome. So, I have nothing to say, nothing interesting to post. Only the fact that (contrary to my previous post) I am now 15, and finished my Freshman year at Bixby High School. Today.


WOOO!! It's amazing how fast it went! I'm actually extremely terrified. In just three years, I will graduate. O.O Scary.

So, my Freshman year was without a doubt, my favorite school year yet. I learned new things. Especially that saying "Can I use the bathroom" = "I'm extremely bored. Can I walk around for a few minutes?" Yes. Aside from that, I made new friends, and actually lost a couple. But, I guess that's just how life works. And it's just great.

Band consumed my life for the first part of the year. I literally sold my soul to Mr. Wagner, my band director. He is monumental. He will have a statue. Anyway, band. Yeah, football games, early morning practices, after school practice to 6:30 on Tuesdays, Saturday contests. Bliss. Honestly, I didn't really like it. But I am SO pumped for next year! I made the drum line this year...and it's gonna be EPIC. SOOOOO epic. I actually get to march! :) Too bad band is in the morning. We get to get hot and sweaty before school even starts. YES. >.< Oh well. EXCITEMENT!

On another note, that's actually related...but I got sidetracked...our marching band won OBA this year! Yeaaaah!! Haha. It was amazing. Now...the second half of my school year. Uhm....not much. I just know that it flew by way too fast. I don't know what happened XD. It's terrifying!!! I already said this...but still. It is. Oh well. On to being a Sophomore. BAM. :D

oh my goodness!!! i'm sorry for not blogging in two months everyone. my life just isn't interesting enough!! lol.

ANYway, on January 10th, i finally turned four...TEEN!!!!!!! i am soo happy!!!!

well, the night before my birthday, my friend Sarah called me and asked if i could help her and this lady who used to be in our ward clean a house. i agreed, i mean i didn't have anything in the morning. it was really fun!!!!!!

also, the night before my b-day, me, my mom, and riley went shopping. i got amazing shoes that i love, some shirts, oreos, of course, i love those things, slippers that im wearing right now, and some jeans...and another pack of oreos from my friend, marisa :D ( i swear im gonna get sooo fat from those things!!)

we also had a big dinner on my birthday!! we had some yummy soup that we stole from olive garden's website, and raviolis...i love italian!!!

so, all in all, i had an amazing day and i am so happy to be 14!!!!!

JAZZ BAND!!!

O....M....G..... I LOVE JAZZ BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Okay. At our school, we have an after school thing called jazz band. It's sooo much funner than normal band...AHHHHH! lol I'm in percussion and i'm play vibes for it, and they're sooo cool!! when you push down a little pedal, the sound rings and it's amayyyzing!! :P Riley's in it too and he loves it....but not as much as me. :D :P

There are some kids in my class that go to it, and randomly throughout the day in dead silence they say OMG JAZZ BAND! it gets annoying after awhile, but it's soooo cool!


isn't it sad that that is the most interesting thing going on in my life right now? rawwwr. :P

actually, i never blogged about it, but i got a rip stick a couple months ago....it's soo fun and i'm finally as good as riley!

wow. im so boring. well, i have to go do my boring stuff :P BYE!




p.s. sorry for not blogging in a while...the stuff that happens to me just doesn't seem that important :P

School starts!!

School started last Thursday!!!!!! I was so scared that I wouldn't like it, and that I wouldn't know anybody, but then I realized that I was crazy and that it would just be the same people from last year!! Haha! silly me, right? :D :P :)

Anyway, I really like school because I have friends in every class and on the bus, and I sit with all my friends at lunch! yay!! The classes are gonna be a little bit harder, but I think I can handle it...except for maybe algebra 1..oooh that's gonna be really mean to me.

That's about it, it's pretty uneventful here...
